No, the carbon fiber material is resistant to magnets .

While the cane does not have any magnets within it, it does have a strong elastic cord running throughout the interior to make sure that the cane stays together when it's folded up. It is very easy to fold this cane up and then put it back together again!

I wasn't talking about the shaft, I wanted to know if it has magnets that help with the assembly like the video show on other canes that you carry.
