Hello, the adjustable one can not be cut. However the non adjustable one can be cut. Once cut it will fit someone shorter that 5'8"

At this time, all of the Flipstick Straight Folding Adjustable Seat Canes are at least 34 inches in length. As such, they would likely not be the appropriate height for persons under 5'8" looking to use the item as a cane.
